AMAZON FIT-OUT, VERTIUM, DUBLIN 4

CS Consulting fulfilled the role of Civil & Structural Engineers for the successful development of Vertium, a 172,000 sq. ft, LEED Gold office space across six-storeys, over a two-storey basement carpark. Following the initial development CS Consulting were engaged by Jones Lang LaSalle on behalf of the Tenant (Amazon) to fulfil the role of Civil & Structural Engineers for the fit-out works.

The modern fitout of the building provided bright, open, energy workspaces, with terraces on four floors providing a total of 7,825 sq. ft of outdoor collaborative space. The fit-out also provided amenities such as a gymnasium, bicycle storage, shower facilities, etc.

Interlinking floating dog-leg stairs were designed and fabricated to span the base-build atria, as part of the fit-out. The base-build structure was required to be analysed and validated for the new stairs.

Extensive design iteration and application of engineering principles delivered an elegant solution. The fit-out of the external terrace areas required design and review of proposed contemporary landscaping.
