SILKEN PARK (PHASE 3), CITYWEST, DUBLIN

Silken Park Phase 3 is the first multi-housing unit passive housing scheme in Ireland. By adopting a fully insulated raft slab in lieu of traditional strip foundations, the building has been able to reach the required thermal standards.

Significant structural design was undertaken to rationalise and resolve self-weight dead loads in an effort to improve further on the raft slab efficiencies. Given the need to provide a fully sealed passive space, innovative solutions for window supports, canopies and Juliet balconies were developed.

In addition to structural services we are providing civil engineering designs which fully incorporate the recent Irish Water details and requirements.
