IRISH LIFE CUSTOMER CENTRE FIT-OUT, DUNDALK

Following the initial development of Irish Life's 5,400 m² Customer Centre in Dundalk, Co. Louth, CS Consulting were also engaged for the fit-out of the building post PC. The development is a 3-storey, contemporary open plan office building, with a main reception, canteen, meeting rooms, a relaxation area and gymnasium with shower and changing facilities, all surrounding a central atrium open to each floor. 

The building was fitted out to a modern, contemporary standard to allow employees to balance health, wellness and work life. The development is NZEB compliant, achieved an A3 BER rating and was also successfully awarded LEED Gold status in January 2020 by the GBC. The fit-out was designed to provide for office accommodation for various customer care and support teams for the tenant’s business activities as well as providing hot desk areas, meeting rooms and conference facilities. The office spaces are arranged over three levels around a central, naturally top lit atrium, which provides great daylighting levels down through the floors.

CS Consulting won an Association of Consulting Engineers (ACEI) award for Sustainable Development for the project in 2021. The project also won a ‘Green Good Design’ award under the category ‘Green Architecture’ in 2020.
