Boyne View House “THE VILLAGE” CNU,
St. Mary's Hospital, Drogheda, Co. Louth

Boyne View House "The Village" is a state-of-the-art new Community Nursing Unit (CNU) adjacent to the live St Mary's Hospital campus in Drogheda, Co. Louth providing 30 no. bedrooms with accessible facilities. The CNU scheme was carried out as part of the HSE’s CNU by Public Private Partnership (PPP) project, which delivered 11 no. new CNUs across Ireland. A link corridor annex to the existing hospital was also designed as part of the project to ensure connectivity between the hospital and the nursing unit. Revision of hard and soft landscaping was also required within an existing bank and associated site development and services works to suit the proposed link corridor. The new CNU is a traditional masonry build structure and features permeable paving and car parking in addition to SuDS features. The structure of Boyne View House consists of a single-storey nursing unit with attic space, ancillary buildings, new ESB sub station, and car parking joined by a covered walkway leading from the building.
