BEECHTREE NURSING HOME, oldtown, co. dublin

This project involved the construction of new build extensions to the existing 53-bed Nursing Home/Residential Retirement Complex. The extensions include residential and ancillary accommodation for an additional 32 persons in a single and two storey building with solar panels on its roof, plus additional plant area and extended laundry facilities.

The design and specification of an additional effluent treatment plant and percolation area to complement the existing plant formed part of the works as well as revised vehicular circulation and car parking and landscaped external communal areas. Due to the nature of the site there were many civil engineering issues with drainage and water services which required resolution with Fingal County Council prior to commencement of construction.
