PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Housing Development, Knocklyon, Co. Dublin

Development of approx. 20 houses (8 in phase I) on a tight, urban, residential adjacent site in Knocklyon, Co. Dublin.

Houses are larger than normal 4 Bedroom Family Homes with sizes ranging from c.159sqm (1,710sqft) to c.178sqm (1,910sqft).

Houses were designed to be A Rated energy efficient with incorporated solar panels, energy saving gas condensing boilers, heat recovery system, triple glazed UPV Windows as well as a high level of insulation which all combine to lower the energy costs.


Site constraints and challenges included:
• Civil works such as roads, attenuation and drainage;
• Site entrance lined with 4 residential, occupied dwellings; and
• Diversion of ESB lines required.


CS CONSULTING ROLE

Full Civil and Structural Services including Traffic Engineering from
planning to completion. CS Consulting will also act as Ancillary Certifier for the Civil & Structural Engineering works in Phase II.
